This explains what Groundwork collects, why, and what you can do about it.

Without an account

You can use the map without signing up. Your saved places, comps, plans and settings stay in your own browser's storage. When you look at a spot, your browser asks public data services (government agencies, Esri, OpenStreetMap and others) for information about it, and our server receives the location to work out estimates. Those providers see the request like any website visit; we don't control their logs.

How we use it

Only to run the Service: sign you in, sync your data, deliver messages, show contractors in the directory if they choose to be listed, send message alerts if email is turned on, keep the Service secure, and fix problems. We don't sell your information or use it for advertising.

Who can see it

Your choices

Edit your profile any time. Delete your account from the Security page in your account; that removes your profile, synced data and the conversations you started. Copies in backups may remain for a short time.

Payments

There are no payments during the beta. If paid plans arrive, card details will be handled by a payment processor such as Stripe and won't be stored on our servers.

Children

The Service is for adults. We don't knowingly collect information from anyone under 18.

Changes and contact

We'll post updates here and tell account holders about significant changes. Questions: hello@example.com.
